Breast Cancer Awareness Month October 2019

This October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK.

It mainly affects women, but in rare cases men can get breast cancer too.One in seven women in the UK will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Around 55,000 women and 370 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.

Breast cancer can cause symptoms such as a lump. However, a lump is not the only symptom of breast cancer.

The earlier breast cancer is diagnosed, the easier it is to treat.
